Ralph Morrison Campbell
It is with great sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of our dear father, grandfather and brother Ralph Morrison Campbell, age 75, on Friday, February 5, 2010 at his home.
Born in New Campbellton on December 4, 1934, he was the son of the late Roy and Sadie Campbell. Dad ran his own T.V. and radio repair business in Sydney, he moved to Toronto to continue his career in that field, and then returned to Cape Breton in 1998 to enjoy his retirement years.
Dad will be deeply missed by his daughter Susan Campbell, North Sydney, his stepsons Jason Gaskell,. Big Bras d’Or and Justin Gaskell, Alberta, his grandson Connor, his siblings Lloyd Campbell, Big Bras d’Or, Jack (Diane) Campbell, Len Campbell (Marie), both of Dalem Lake, Don Campbell, North Sydney, Ross Campbell, Dartmouth and sister Corrine (Gary) Burnett, St. Catherines, Ont. along with numerous nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Marie.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Ralph will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A graveside committal will take place at St. James Cemetery, Big Bras d’Or, in July 2010.
