Brian Peddle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Brian Peddle, Commercial St., North Sydney, which occurred Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Northside General Hospital.

Born in Toronto, Ont., March 22, 1952, he was the son of the late Albert "Baldy" and May (Peddle) Aylward. Brian was employed as a taxicab driver, working in both North Sydney and Sydney Mines.

Brian is survived by three brothers, Frank Aylward and his wife Sue Sable, Toronto, Derrick (Helen) Aylward, Cambridge, Ont., Joseph Aylward, North Sydney; his sister, Wanda (Kevin) MacKay, Sydney; and by nieces and nephews, Felicia, Sharon, James and Alexandra.

He was predeceased by his brother, John Aylward of Montreal.

Brian was deeply loved and will be sadly missed. He will be forever in our hearts.

There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service for Brian will be held Tuesday, 2 p.m. in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Pleasant St. North Sydney, with Major Daniel Roode, officiating. Burial at a later date in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
