It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Curtis Chislett on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at the age of 55.

Born in North Sydney, he was the youngest son of the late Jack and Jean (Robinson) Chislett.

Curtis worked as a welding inspector throughout the country and was a former member of Union Local 682.

Curtis is survived by his wife and best friend, Brenda (Bond) Chislett and their three children, John (Cindy), Kathryn  (Steven) and Heather, as well as his three grandsons, John, Hayden and Curtis.

Also survived by sisters, Janie Chislett; niece and nephews Megan, David, Sean and their families, Linda Harbinson; nephew Norman and family (St. Catharines, ON).

Curtis is also survived by his mother and father-in-law Frank (Catherine) Bond, brothers-in-law Greg, Ronnie, Michael, Ralph and their families as well as other extended family members.

He will be forever loved and remembered by all of us.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by his grandson Roland Steven, a sister Diane and three brothers, Albert, Roland and John Chislett.

Visitation for Curtis will be 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service  will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Marjorie Serafinus officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.
