It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Patricia (Patsy) Marie Penny, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend on Monday, February 19, 2024 at the age of 61. Born in North Sydney on October 16, 1962, Patsy was the daughter of the late Mansell and Elizabeth (Morrison) Penny. 

Patsy is survived by her brother Blaine (Lynn), nephews Aidan (Micayla) and Mark Sampson; niece Stacey and her children Kendall and Zachery, and her special aunt Paula (Dave) Jessome, along with many cousins whom she cherished over the years.

Besides her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her brother Billy; sister Cathy; her grandparents Howard and Katie Morrison as well as Bill and Annie Penny.  Along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the residents of Mapleview Manor for providing Patsy with many loving friends and taking care of her during her recent illness, you meant the world to her.

At Patsy’s request, there will be no funeral or memorial service. As per her wishes, her body was donated to Dalhousie University, Department of Medical Neuroscience.  Memorial donations may be made in Patsy’s name to the Cancer Society or a charity of one’s choice.  Online condolences may be left for the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall of the obituary at www.wjdooley.com.
