Audrey Sibley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Audrey I. Sibley, on Sunday, October 13, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in North Sydney, November 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George “Tip” and Dorcas (McDonald) Billard.
Audrey had been a dedicated member of the Salvation Army over the years and served in various positions. Recently she had become a member of Calvary Baptist Church in North Sydney.
Audrey is survived by her son George Sibley, North Sydney; grandchildren, Daniel White and Hayley White; two sisters, Mildred Higham, Sydney, Elizabeth “Betty” (Bob) Gadd, Halifax and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband William Sibley.
Visitation for Audrey will be 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Calvary Baptist Church, North Sydney, with Rev. John Hannem officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
