It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Leo Keagan age 56, beloved son, brother, and friend, on Thursday November 9, 2017 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.

Danny was born in North Sydney, January 16, 1961, he was a son of Emmanuel and Rosella (Baggs) Keagan. He was employed as an electrician with IBEW, working in construction for various locals throughout Canada and United States.

Danny is survived by his parents Emmanuel and Rosella (Baggs) Keagan of North Sydney, brothers James (Jimmy) Keagan, North Sydney, Stephen (Michelle) Keagan, Vernon, BC, sisters Elizabeth Keagan, North Sydney and Cheryl (Ron Williams) Keagan, Calgary, his uncles James Baggs, Margaree, NL, Cecil Baggs, Port Aux Basques and his aunt Mildred MacLean, North Sydney.

Visitation for Daniel will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart & Stroke Foundation.
