It is with a deep sense of loss we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Florence (Reid) Morrison, age 98, on Wednesday August 15, 2018 at the Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines.
Born in North Sydney on March 8, 1920, Florence was the daughter of the late William and Violet (St. Croix) Reid. Florence had a zest for life and a strong personal faith which was apparent to all who had met her. She studied to be a teacher and worked in the North Sydney school system. She was a trained soloist who shared her musical gifts over the years and was a very special baker and cook. Often when asked how she was feeling she would say “Fine dear not an ache or a pain” with a smile and a twinkle in her eye.
Florence is survived by her three sons Jeff (Sandy) Morrison and Bill (Mary) Morrison, both of Kingston, ON, James (Muriel) Morrison, North Sydney, her grandchildren Stephanie (David), Tania, Carla (Kevin), Daniel (Carey), Jason and Sarah (Chris), also surviving are a number of great grandchildren, by her sister Ethel Hollett, Annapolis Royal, NS ..
