Gerald L. Pearcey

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gerald Lloyd Pearcey, age 58
on Thursday, January 24, 2019.
Born in North Sydney on December 30, 1960, he was the son of the late Gerald and Jean (Totten) Pearcey. Gerald was employed as a lead-hand heavy duty equipment operator with Nova Scotia Power at the Point Aconi Power Generating Plant.
Gerald is survived by his partner Corinne Ivey, by four daughters Beverly (Jonathan) Newell, Annapolis Valley, Cheryl Pearcey (Dave Crowdis), Megan Pearcey (Mike Latter), Ashley Pearcey (John Johnston), all of North Sydney, his four grandchildren Lucy and Theodore Newell, Lily and Charlee Crowdis, also by his sister Cheryl (Tom) McCarthy, Bedford and mother-in-law Jean Ivey, Sydney Mines, brothers-in-law Bruce Ivey, Sydney Mines, George Ivey, Millville, Jimmy Ivey, Alberta, sister-in-law Betty, British Columba.
Besides his parents Gerald and Jean Pearcey, he was predeceased by his father-in-law James Ivey and brother-in-law Gordie Ivey.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service for Gerald will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday January 29th in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney with Rev. Julio Martin officiating. Burial will take place in Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date.
