It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister and aunt, Elva Lorraine Adair, age 71, on Friday September 13, 2019 in Hardisty, Alberta.

Born in North Sydney, April 11, 1948, Lorraine was the daughter of the late Stewart and Ruth (Dakin) Adair. She was employed for many years in the central supply department of the St. Elizabeth Hospital, later the Northside General Hospital, until her retirement. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in North Sydney. Lorraine was an avid bowler and she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Lorraine is survived by her sister, Ruth Tillmar; her niece, Heather Tillmar (Stephen Brown); her grandniece, Georgia Brown; her aunt, Vera Dakin & family; numerous cousins, many friends and colleagues and also a special friend, Rosalind Guy.

Besides her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her brother-in-law Gilbert Tillmar and nephew, Shawn Tillmar, in 2004.

By request there will be no visitation. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, at Lakeside Cemetery in North Sydney, with Rev. John Hannem officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or The War Amps.
