It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Pascal Dupont age 90 on Sunday May 12, 2019, at Miners Memorial Manor, Sydney Mines.
Born in North Sydney on November 18, 1928, Pascal was the son of the late David and Ethel (Noseworthy) Dupont. In his spare time Pascal enjoyed bowling with his wife and friends and road trips throughout Canada and USA. He was employed as a stevedore with Marine Atlantic for 48 years and successfully retired in 1993. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
Pascal is survived by his loving wife Eileen (McNeil) Dupont, who were married for 62 years, his children; Pascal (Terri), Elizabeth (Kevin) Blinkhorn, Paul (Judy), Greg (Heather), Wayne (Freda), grandchildren Tyler, Sheldon, Justine, Shelbi, Kyle, Cody, Haley, Nolan and great granddaughter Abigail.
Besides his parents Pascal was predeceased by his brother David.
The family would like to thank the loving and kind care workers at the Miners Memorial Manor.
Visitation for Pascal will be held 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A graveside burial service will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating.
