Arthur Randolph Ashford

It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, Arthur Randolph Ashford, on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at the Northside General Hospital, at the age of 67.

Born in North Sydney on March 27, 1957, Arthur was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Phalen) Ashford.

Arthur was tough in spirit and had tremendous courage. He enjoyed hockey and liked watching games on TV. He loved nothing more than riding his scooter with his best fur buddy, Molly, and taking her with him for coffee at Tim Hortons.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Veronica (Wilson) Ashford, and his sons Michael (Kim), David (Patricia) and Dennis. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kyndra, Breanna, Mikayla, Haley, Aiden and Miya; brothers Kenny, Gerry, Stewart and Albert. Besides his parents, Arthur was predeceased by his brother Peter.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of 5E at Northside General Hospital for their care and compassion.

Funeral services for Arthur will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
