Beverly Marie (Rahey) Haggett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverly Marie (Rahey) Haggett, beloved wife, mother, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend, on Monday August 18, 2025 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Born in North Sydney on March 28, 1967, Beverly was the daughter of the late Raymond and Vivian (Nader) Rahey. She was employed with Nova Scotia Health, Human Resources Department. Beverly was involved with the Little League Baseball of Canada and wishes for the elderly “We Are Young”, she loved music, singing, cooking and entertaining her family on many special occasions.

Beverly is survived by her husband Bruce, a son Gabriel, mother-in-law Janet Finney, brother-in-law Lloyd Stewart, sisters-in-law Joanne Rahey and Rachel Haggett, nieces and nephews Josh, Steven, Raylene, Chloe, Lindsey, Cole, Wyatt, Ethan and Jessie, by her aunts Ann Nader and Jamel Rahey as well a very close cousin Beth Nader Smith and many other cousins.

Beverly was the last surviving member of her immediate family.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Richard and Brad Rahey and her sister Judy Stewart.

A visitation for Beverly will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall of the obituary at www.wjdooley.com.
