Charles L. White

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Louis White, age 83, on Sunday September 6, 2020 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Beechville, NS, on May 15, 1937, Charles was the son of the late Elwood Cecil and Emily (Noiles) White. He served with the Canadian Armed Forces from 1953-1993, at various bases throughout Canada and in Germany with the 14 Service Battalion. Charles was very active in community affairs and was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #12 in Sydney.
Charles is survived by his daughter Patricia Stock, Hawaii, son Ronald White, Vancouver, grandchildren Tanya, Vanessa, Michael and Daniel, great-grandchildren Marley, Asa, and Morgan, his sister Bernice Oliver, Ottawa, nephews Karim and Philip Oliver, a niece Yolonda Oliver.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Elwood and Milford White, also by a sister Shirley.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of 4west at the Northside General Hospital for being there for Charles and treating him like family during the past two years, to neighbours Irene and Dale, for supporting Charles while he was at home and to his great friend Patricia Lamoureux for her regular visits to the hospital to care and support him during the past couple of years.
