Christine Dominica (Tremblett) Foss

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dominica Christine Foss age 82, on Thursday September 25, 2025, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sydney Mines, March 20, 1943, Christine was the daughter of the late James and Jessie Tremblett.

She married Ronald Foss and they spent sixty-five years building a life rooted in love, faith and family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to caring for her family and was known for her kindness, strength and unwavering support. She worked as a PCW at the Northside Community Guest Home for fifteen years, as well as private care afterwards.

Christine is survived by her husband and best friend Ronald Foss, her children; Susan (Doug) Hodder, Ricky (Karen) Foss and Peter (Judy) Foss. She is also survived by her grandchildren; April, Holly, Kelsey, Mitchell and Ryan, great grandchildren; Hannah, Thomas, Kaitlyn, Olivia, Leland, Eva, Luca and Kaydan, sisters; Judy (Ernest) Bailey, Georgina (Rex) Knott, brother; James Tremblett, several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Christine was predeceased by her grandson Andrew Hodder, sisters; Theresa, Sally, Eileen, Mary and brother Danny.

As per Christine’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. Online condolences may be left for the family on the tribute wall of the obituary.
