Clarence Evans

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother, uncle and friend, Clarence “Clay” Evans, age 64, on Tuesday October 22, 2019, at his home in Truro.
Born in North Sydney, August 6, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles and Melida (Green) Evans. Clarence was employed as a custodian at Wallace Apartments in Truro for a number of years. He was a volunteer at the Truro Food Bank, he enjoyed playing cards especially tarabish and spending time with friends and family. He will be greatly missed by his feline companion “Whisper”.
Clarence is survived by his sister Liz Evans, North Sydney and brother Levi (Jackie) Evans, Georges River.
Besides his parents Clarence was predeceased by a brother Martin Evans and a nephew David Evans.
A funeral service for Clarence will be held 11 a.m. Monday, October 28th in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney with Rev. Douglas Beck officiating. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney. Memorial donations may be made to the local food bank. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com .
