It is with deep sadness that we, the family announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother, Clarence “Shep” Sheppard, at Maplestone Enhanced Care, Halifax, on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at the age of 84. Born in Fourchu on August 1, 1939, Shep was the son of the late Charles and Dorothy (Ruthledge) Sheppard.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Pauline (Stewart), and his sons, Don (Nancy), Michael (Petra), both of Nova Scotia, his sister Daine (Brian) McParland, brothers Winston (Paulette) and Gordon (Dawn), all of New Brunswick. 

Besides his parents, Charles and Dora, he was also predeceased by his brother Edgar.

The family extends their deepest thanks and appreciation to all the staff at Maplestone Enhanced Care for the exemplary care, compassion and support provided to Clarence.

A funeral service for Shep will be held at 1p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists at 71 McQuade Lake Cresent, Halifax. A private burial will take place at a later date in North Sydney under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
