It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Deborah Catherine Sweeney, age 71, on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.

Born in North Sydney on July 28, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Robert MacPherson and Catherine (Saunders) MacPherson.

She is survived by her husband Darrell Sweeney, Yarmouth, brother Teddy Gillard, North Sydney and cousin Theresa White, Dartmouth. Deborah is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. 

At Deborah’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.  Burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.  Memorial donations made to a charity of choice.  Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J.
