Eva A. Jabalee
It is with saddened hearts that we the family announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Eva Ann Jabalee, age 83, on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at the Northside Community Guest Home.
Born in Sydney on October 15, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Herb and Sophie (Moore) Myatt. She resided in North Sydney most of her life. In her early years she loved figure skating, swimming and diving, and won awards. She loved nature and spent many summers in Cape Dauphin, New Campbellton. She was a wonderful homemaker with a strong work ethic. Eva worked for 30 years at the Northside Community Guest Home, a very conscientious, efficient and caring worker.
She is survived by her sons Richard (Edith), Edwardsville, Ronald, Cape Dauphin, Fred (Mary), North Sydney, Paul (Susan), Red Deer, AB, and her daughters Barbara (Phonse), Windsor Junction, Bertha (Alex), Kelowna, BC, Patsy (John), Sooke, BC and Vera (Kevin), P.E.I; also her beloved brother Fred Myatt, Middle Cape, daughter-in-law Debbie Jabalee, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-greatgrandchild.
Besides her parents, Eva was predeceased by her husband Richard, two sons Joseph and Terrance and also her sisters Vera and Barbara.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff on 4West at the Northside General Hospital. Eva expressed that the student caregivers she met while there, were a credit to their future profession and said the future system will be in good hands. Also, the nurses and staff at Theresa Terrace at the Northside Community Guest Home, the nurses and all the staff at Cara House for their devotion and special care to Eva, especially her good friend Carol.
There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. Burial for Eva will take place at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com.
