It is with sadness, we the family announce the passing of Florence Marie King, age 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.                       

Born in North Sydney on May 9, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lenora (LeMoine) Wilson.  Florence enjoyed many hours in her flower gardens, going to bingo and club and also her bus trips to Bangor, Maine. 

She is survived by her husband Wilfred “ Bunny” King, her son Harry King and grandson William King and his mother Natalie Marsh; also surviving are her brothers Jim, Bob, Dave, Steve; her sisters Dora (Benny), Lynn (Arty), Dianne, Dorothy, Heather (Floyd), Laurie and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother John, sisters Clara and Ann.

There will be no visitation or service by request.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.
