Frances Campbell

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of my wife, Fran Campbell on July 19, 2024, surrounded by loving family at the Northside General Hospital.  

Fran was born in Dartmouth, lived her childhood in Port Hawkesbury than most of her married life in Leitches Creek.  Fran was the best life partner a man could ever have.  She had a love for many things, including being an avid gardener, reading, painting, traveling, and was a super homemaker.  Fran was kind with a great sense of humor and loved a great laugh.  Fran will be remembered for her caring heart and endless kindness.  She was a quiet little lady who always enjoyed visits from her family and friends. 

Fran was a daughter of the late Douglas and Frances (George) Conrad, predeceased by her brothers David and Basil. 

Fran leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Donnie Campbell of Leitches Creek, sister Betty Malcolm, Oromocto, NB and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.      

We extend our sincere appreciation to the many staff members on 5 East at the Northside General Hospital that took time and cared so compassionately for Fran.  A special thank you to the staff at the Northside Community Guest Home for the love and care they gave Fran while she resided there. 

There is no visitation as per Fran’s wishes.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of W. J. Dooley Funeral Home in North Sydney, with a graveside service in Port Hawkesbury, at a later date.
