It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Francis Adrian Robinson, age 69, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his brother Rob by his side, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in MillCreek, on October 22, 1950, he was the son of the late Fabian and Regis (Marsh) Robinson.

Adrian worked as an independent truck driver for many years while living in Ontario. After retiring, he moved back home to Cape Breton where he could enjoy his favorite pastime, fishing.

Adrian is survived by his two children, John of Kingston, NB and Lori Gardiner in Ontario, his two grandchildren Jimmy and Emily and great grandson Jack. He is also survived by his three brothers, Robbie (Lucy), Jude (Christine), both of North Sydney, John (Janie), of Sydney Mines; two sisters, Joan Hillier, North Sydney, Nancy Robinson, Sydney Mines and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Linda Poirier and a daughter Emily in infancy.

As per Adrian’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside committal will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
