Fredrick Lloyd Leet

It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Fredrick Lloyd Leet, age 80, on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Northside General Hospital.

Born in Halifax, Fred was the son of the late Fredrick Allen and Mary Ethel (Johnston) Leet.  Fred spent his working years as a salesman in the building supplies industry. 

Fred is survived by his wife Colleen, his son Glenn Leet, Dartmouth, step-children Billy Jennex, Marina Jennex and Colin Jennex. Also surviving is his brother Donald Leet, his sisters Ramona (Gordon) MacAskill, Rosalee Wambolt, nieces and nephews, along with his best friends Ronnie Matheson (Coreen) and Art Rogers.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Vivian Shand, brother Gerry Edwin Leet and brother-in-law Gordon MacAskill.

By his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside gathering will take place at Lakeside Cemetery at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall of the obituary.
