It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Helen Ann Jabalee, age 59, mother, daughter and friend on Friday, August 13, 2021 at her home in Toronto.

Born in North Sydney on December 14, 1961, Helen was the daughter of Edna (MacGillivary) and the late Harold Jabalee. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1979, later from Chamberlain School of Retailing, Boston in 1982 and worked at EDA in Toronto until she retired.

Besides her mother Edna Jabalee, North Sydney, she is also survived by her daughter Erica Niemi, her son Patrick Messon, her granddaughter Alyssa Niemi of Whitby, Ontario, her cousins, her good friend Bob Jensen and a host of other good friends in Ontario and North Sydney.

Helen was predeceased by her father Harold Jabalee in December of 2020, her grandparents Richard and Edna Jabalee, her maternal grandparents Edward and Martha MacGillivary.

Cremation has taken place in Ontario.  Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be held at a later date in North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com.
