Jamie Arthur Keeping

It is through a river of tears that we announce the loss of our youngest son, Jamie Arthur Keeping, having slipped into the arms of Jesus on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Jamie was born in Winnipeg on March 8, 1979. Left behind to mourn his loss are his mother and father, Cyril and Margie (MacKenzie) Keeping, North Sydney; his brother, Cyril Keeping Jr.; his sister-in-law, Kimberly Keeping; nephews, Peyton Keeping and Brett Brown; nieces, Mackenzie Keeping, Caitlyn Keeping, Leah Isadore, and “Miss” Kylie Keeping; special uncle, Brian Keeping, along with many aunts and uncles.
Jamie was predeceased by his brother, Wayne Keeping, on March 1, 2018; his grandparents, Allan and Eliza (Fiander) Keeping of English Harbour West, NL, as well as Emmaline Leroy and John D. MacKenzie, both of North Sydney.
We would also like to make special mention of the caregivers and staff at Taigh Gradhach House who had given Jamie such attentive and dedicated care over the years.
Visitation for Jamie will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Friday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Major Cory & Charlene Vincent officiating. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney at a later date. Covid-19 restrictions will be followed with mandatory masks and social distancing at the wake and limited seating for the service.
