Jan will be remembered by her family and friends as caring and forgiving. She left the following words of love for her husband, Bill:
My Darling as I leave you
I don’t really want to go.
My heart inside is breaking
Because I love you so.
Go forward now my sweetheart
Look life right in the face.
I’ll be there if you need me
As you run your life long race.
Remember all our good times
Forgive me for the bad.
I hope our time together
Never made you sad.
It took so long to find you
I thought it was too late
But once I got to know you
I knew I’d found my fate.
