With broken hearts we regret to announce the sudden passing of Jennifer Marie Watson, age 40, on Sunday September 19, 2021 in Edmonton Alberta

Born in St. Catharine's, Ontario on June 29, 1981, she was the youngest daughter of Phillip and Greta (Whitty) Gilbert. The Gilberts moved back to Cape Breton when she was seventeen so they could be closer to family in her father’s ailing health. Jennifer graduated from Memorial High School and made many friends. She later moved to Fort McMurray with her husband Jason where they started a family.

Jennifer was a very compassionate person and had a special love for animals. She loved all of God's creatures especially dogs. She was a member of the Canadian Kennel Club and enjoyed showing her bearded collie and bedlington terrier. She recently graduated from Lakeland College completing her educational assistant course.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Jason, daughters Teagan and Jessica, her sister Denise (Troy), her mother, Greta (Whitty), nephews Devon and Matthew, niece Abby, mother-in-law Anne Watson and brothers-in-law Jeff Watson and John Ronayne

Jennifer was predeceased by her father Phillip Gilbert and father-in-law Lorway Watson.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of

flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's
