John Wilfred "Bunny" King

It is with sadness, we announce the passing of John Wilfred “Bunny” King, age 87, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Northside General Hospital.                       

Born in North Sydney on January 16, 1938, he was the son of the late Harry and Florence (Clifford) King.  Bunny had a lengthy career in auto body repair and was well known as an exceptional auto painter.

He is survived by his son Harry and grandson William King and William’s mother Natalie Marsh; also surviving are his brother Ralph and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Florence, his brothers Art, Ernie and Bill and sisters Mae and Marion.

We would like extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff of 5 East of the Northside General Hospital for their care and compassion over the last several months.

There will be no visitation or service by request.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute wall of the obituary at www.wjdooley.com.
