Joshua Ian Chislett
Saskatoon / North Sydney
It is with profound grief and sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson and uncle Josh Chislett at the age of 24, on Monday February 24, 2020, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Born in North Sydney, Josh was a pleasant and well-mannered child who loved video games and had a smile that was contagious. As a young man, Josh found his true calling with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was quite proud of his accomplishments and had the opportunity to explore the country due to his commitment to his passion and his trade.
Josh is survived by his loving family: mother Daina Scott (Bobby MacKinnon), father Sean (Tanya) Chislett, sister Jenna Scott, brother Hunter MacKinnon and sisters Frankie and Sophie Chislett. Josh will also be missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins as well as many other extended family members.
Josh was predeceased by his paternal grandfather John Chislett.
A private family service will be held at a later date in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill, Canadian Forces Chaplain officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mental Health Association of Nova Scotia or a charity supporting the Canadian Armed Forces.
