It is was great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Keith Alexander “Duffer” MacMullin on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with his family and friends by his side.

Born in North Sydney on October 5, 1972, Keith “Duffer” will be remembered for his love of playing baseball as well as his darts leagues on Thursday & Saturday evenings. Keith was a diehard Montréal Canadiens fan. Keith worked for many years with Eastern Olympic Pools and made some great friends along the way working there.

Keith is survived by his loving parents, John “Stemmer” and Barbara (Campbell) MacMullin; his sister Lynda and brother Stuart (Michelle) and his two nephews Nathan and Joseph, whom he adored; his fiancé Shirley Caines, and their children, Alana and John Wilson, who were his absolute world. Keith had a special bond with Florence and Wilson Caines and family.

Cremation has taken place and as per the family’s wishes there will be no visitation. There will be a celebration of life for Keith at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Florence Fire Hall. Memorial donations in memory of Keith can be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J.
