Leslie "Les" Grant Crossan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leslie Grant Crossan, aged 74, on Sunday October 6, 2024, at the Northside General Hospital. Born in Montreal on April 29, 1950, Les was the son of the late Leslie and Ruth (Grant) Crossan.

Les spent much of his life at sea, working on boats with Algoma Central Marine on the Great Lakes. He enjoyed nothing more than walking along the beach with his four-legged friend, Lady, by his side. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 83 in Florence.

Les is survived by his children – Grant (Donna), Lee (Gina), and Chrissy (Jason); grandchildren – George, Krysten, Shannon, Brooklee, along with great-grandson, Ben; Les is also survived by his sister Shirley and his brother Wayne (Barb), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home at 107 Pleasant St. in North Sydney. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences can be left for the family by writing on the tribute wall of the obituary page at www.wjdooley.com.
