It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lillian Clarke on February 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in North Sydney on January 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Ernie and Marie (MacKinnon) Clarke.
Lillian was a reserved person who lived a quiet life. She had great affection for animals, especially her beloved dogs. She will be greatly missed.
Lillian is survived by her sons – Patrick (Christina) Rogers of Fort McMurray and Danny (Jodie) Rogers of Edmonton; her grandchildren – Brandon, Brianna, Emma, Kennedy, and Kylie, as well as great-grandchildren – Mason and Hayden. She deeply loved her two boys and all of her grandchildren. She is further survived by her siblings – Rodenia (Brad) Tannie of Beaverton, ON, Bernice of Frenchvale, Robert (Mel) of Mill Creek, Linda (John) Ingram of North Sydney, Tonia of Sydney, Danny (Suzie) of Sydney Mines, Donna (Alan) Nunn of Sydney Mines, Theresa of Ontario.
Besides her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her partner, Mario Lortie, as well as siblings – Ernie, Rita (Alan) Bond, and Unetha Dunn.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lillian’s neighbour extraordinaire, Carter Gale, for all of the day to day support he gave Lillian these last few years.
