It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Louise Mary Power, 59, on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Kimberly Court.

Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of Anne (Young) Power and the late Leo Power. Louise had been a longtime resident of the Braemore Home, later Breton Ability, and most recently Kimberly Court.

Louise is survived by her mother, Anne, Sydney Mines; siblings: Joe (Esther), Halifax; Teresa (Blair) Sibley, Sharon (Terry), both of North Sydney, Coleen, Ontario, Rose Marie (Terry), Newfoundland; nieces and nephews: Amanda (Peter), Taylor (Christopher), Nicole, Emily, Zachery and Jessica.

Louise was predeceased by her father, Leo Power, as well as her brother, David, who died in infancy.    

The family would like to thank the staff of Breton Ability and Harbourstone for their care, and a heartfelt thank you to her special friends Philip and Viola.

No visitation will be held by request of the family.  A private funeral service for Louise will be held in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney with Deacon Dave Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Sydney.
