Margaret “Peggy” Carey (nee Woodfine)

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Margaret Jessie “Peggy” Carey, aged 75, on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax Infirmary Hospital in Halifax. Born in North Sydney on February 8, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Augustus and Margaret (Bryan) Woodfine.

Peggy was a dedicated LPN with a career that spanned over thirty years. Peggy was a humble woman who loved her family dearly and enjoyed the simple things in life, taking no greater pleasure then that from a good cup of tea.

Peggy is survived by her two children – Kevin and Judy; her sisters – Judy Woodfine, Glenys Ivey, and Maralyn Napier; her brothers – Albert (Linda) Woodfine and Terry Woodfine.

Besides her parents, Peggy was predeceased by her husband Thomas “Greg” Carey; her brothers – Brian and Bruce Woodfine, and her brother-in-law Blair Ivey.
