Marie (Tremblett) Marsh

It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Marie Cecilia (Tremblett) Marsh, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born in Sydney Mines on April 9, 1938, Marie was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude Tremblett.

Marie was a devoted wife to Cyril for 67 years.  They had a very close relationship that was apparent to all. They enjoyed going fishing, bowling and going to hockey and baseball games.  Marie enjoyed dancing and was well was known for her delicious baked goods. She liked fancy cars with lots of chrome. Marie loved to laugh and was dearly loved by her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her husband Cyril; her sons Brian, Earl and Darren (Kerensa) Marsh; grandchildren Kyle, Mark and Eric; great-grandchildren Hannah, Grace, Liam, Thomas and Paisley; her sister Helen Crane; her son-in-law Tommy Penny.

Besides her parents, Marie was predeceased by her daughter Sharon Penny; her siblings Eric, Earl, John, William, Dave, Wilfred, Wallace, Percy, Douglas, Margaret, Ella, Edna and Gordon.

We would like to thank the staff at the Northside Community Guest Home for taking such amazing care of Marie, as well as Dr. Alexander Wawer, Dr. John Kirkpatrick, the nursing staff of 2 West Northside General Hospital and 4A of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
