Mary Christine "Chrissy" (MacDonald) Gracie

It is with heavy and broken hearts we announce the passing of Mary Christine “Chrissy” Gracie on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at the age of 66.

Born in North Sydney on September 12, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Olive (Oakes) MacDonald.  Chrissy’s greatest accomplishments were her two boys, Calvin and Tommy, whom she was so proud of.

Chrissy was one of a kind, she was always goofing around with her grandkids and being silly. Chrissy’s grandchildren were her greatest joys and she was so incredibly proud of them and the young men and women they are growing up to be.  Chrissy had a heart of gold and was always there for family and friends in any way she could be.

Chrissy is survived by her two sons Calvin (Renee), North Sydney and Tommy (Crystal-Lee), Fort McMurray; her grandchildren Alexandra “Maggie” (Parker), Lincoln, Harper “Little Harpie”, Jaxon and Evelyn; also her brother Ricky MacDonald, special niece Fran Collins, who was like a sister to her, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Calvin “Johnny” Gracie, her sister Jacqueline MacLean, brothers Mickey, Billy, Tony, Hector, Clifford, brother-in-law Eric MacLean and her special friend Nennie Matthews.

There will be no visitation by request.  Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant  Street, North Sydney.
