It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend, Patricia Ann “Sally” Perry, age 78, after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 7 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Chatham, New Brunswick on January 30, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Dwyer) Holland. Sally was a very active person who enjoyed bowling, women’s league darts and club pogo. She had a very kind heart and often showed hospitality to help others in need.
She is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Perry and Deborah Rogers; her grandchildren Terilyn, Lindsey, Travis, Adam; her great-grandchildren Christopher and Freya; Siblings Donna Holland, Keith (Idah) Holland, Brenda Watling, Helen Pauls, Diane Wilson. She is also survived by son-in-law, Paul Rogers; sisters-in-law, Dawn Holland and Shirley MacDonald.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) “Bunny” Perry; step-mother Marion Holland; brothers Blaine Holland, Freddy Holland, Vernon MacDonald; son-in-law Hughie Drake; brother-in-law Gerald Watling.
Special thank you to Keith and Bruce MacGuire, John and Madeline Brewer for their ongoing support and friendship. A special thank you is extended to the doctors and nurses at the Cape Regional Hospital 4B and the An Cala Unit. The family want to express their appreciation to Dr. Khalid Hussain for his care and support for Patricia and her family.
Cremation has taken place and a private burial service will take place at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Patricia to the An Cala Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Haley Street, North Sydney. Arrangements are under the care and direction of W.J.
