It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the sudden passing of Peter Joseph Keagan, our beloved brother and uncle, on Thursday May 14, 2020 at his residence in North Sydney.

Born in North Sydney, April 26, 1954, Peter was the son of the late Peter and Marion (McCarthy) Keagan. He lived and worked in a number of provinces throughout Canada returning home to North Sydney about 20 years ago. He enjoyed taking pictures and photography and going for drives around Cape Breton.

Peter is survived by his brothers George (Joanne) Keagan, St Catharine’s, Ontario, Doug (Pat) Keagan, North Sydney, sister Marion “Mimmie” Russell, North Sydney, also by a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by brothers Michael “Pete”, Charlie and Eddie Keagan , sister Rose Caldwell.

By request there will be no visitation. A private family celebration for Peter will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.wjdooley.com .
