Queena H. McGraw
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Queena Marie Hannah McGraw, age 75, on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Born in North Sydney on February 21, 1946, Queena was the daughter of the late Arthur and Isabella (Hatcher) (Standing) Walsh. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, North Sydney.
She is survived by her five children, Denise Bonnar, Millville, Eric James McGraw, Sydney Mines, Ricky McGraw, Niagara Falls, Vicki Ann McGraw, Sydney Mines, Randy McGraw Sydney Mines, her eight grandchildren Jason, Jordan, Virginia, Grant, Nicky, Natasha, Joshua, Autumn, her four great-grandchildren Owen, Kacey, Tyson, Amelia; her three sisters Margaret Bonnar, Sydney Mines, Dorothy Leon, Coxheath, Jeanette Power, Mira, one brother Steve Walsh, North Sydney, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson Brandon Gracie, her sister Olive Mary Rose, her step-father Nathan Standing.
Visitation for Queena will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Doug MacDonald officiating. Covid-19 restrictions with be in place with the wearing of masks, social distancing and limited seating at the funeral home and at church.
