It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Reginald Leonard Kennedy, age 61, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

Born in Sydney on December 11, 1957, he was the son of the late Douglas Kennedy and Maude (MacKay) Franklin.  Reggie spent many years fishing and later working at Magna in North Sydney.  He was a handyman who enjoying working on and fixing appliances and various other things.

He is survived by two daughters, Sonya Kennedy, Halifax and Valerie Kennedy, North Sydney, his four brothers Gary (Donna), Catalone, Jerry (Josephine), Bateston, Frank, Fort McMurray, Trevor (Brenda), Louisbourg, his granddaughter Emma, a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Reggie will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant Street, North Sydney.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Peter McLeod officiating.  Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or at a later date. 

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
