Ronald Fraser Obituary

John Ronald Fraser

Mill Creek, NS

Our loving Dad John Ronald Fraser, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, NS.

Born in Mill Creek on August 16, 1936, he was the son of the late John and Edith (Jessome) Fraser.  Dad was predeceased by his son Lennie and his brothers Bernie and Alex.

Ron is survived by his daughter Linda LeBlanc, son Ron Jr. and their mother Millie Theriault; his brothers David, Walter and sister Mary.

Our Dad enjoyed life everywhere he went.  He was an adventurous and hard-working man.  At age 13 he worked in the crop pits then onward to the Great Lakes at the age of 15.  Continuing on his journey, he worked in the drilling and blasting industry throughout Canada.  In the later years of his life he felt a calling to go West working with his sons in Ft. McMurray, Alberta.  Our Dad was an extraordinary man.  He found joy in everything he did and in everyone he met.   Anyone who knew him would certainly attest to that pure sense of love and wonder he carried in his heart.

Ron Jr. and Linda would like to acknowledge the staff at Harbourstone and give thanks for the constant love and kindness given to our father.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, North Sydney.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by leaving a message on the tribute page of the obituary at www.wjdooley.com.
