Ronald Lloyd “Bud” Hardy

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald “Bud” Hardy, aged 82, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at the Northside Community Guest Home.

Born in North Sydney, on June 4, 1939, he was the son the late Wilson and Edith (Hardy) Hardy and his stepmother Olive (Bond) Hardy. Bud was employed with CN Marine Atlantic for several years and later became a CN police officer in North Sydney until his retirement.

Bud is survived by his only daughter, Lisa (Mike); granddaughter Erin (Matthew); great grandchildren Hailey and Zachary, whom he adored; brothers Sid and Frank; sisters Joyce, Gladys, Sharon; his ex-wife Florence.

Besides his parents, Bud was predeceased by his brothers Claude and Wilson.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff of the Northside Community Guest Home for their excellent care and support during Bud’s stay at the home.

 Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation as per Bud’s wishes. A family graveside service will take place at a later date. All arrangements are under the care and directions of W.J.
