Rose Elizabeth Deveau

It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Rose Elizabeth Deveau, on Monday, July 15, 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital at the age of 72.

Born in Sydney Mines on April 4, 1952, Rose was the daughter of the late Roy and Rose Elizabeth (Aylward) Rice. 

Rose loved going for walks and being out around the community. She loved going out for coffee and treating herself to scratch tickets.

Rose is survived by her sisters Mary Long of Sydney Mines, and Brenda Rice of Ontario; her brother Garfield Rice of Sydney Mines, along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Manuel Deveau, an infant daughter and her brother, Arthur Rice.

There will be no visitation. A graveside committal will take place at a later date. Online condolences can be left for the family by leaving message on the tribute wall of the obituary page.
