Our family is heartbroken to announce the death of Terrence (Terry) Blaise MacDonald, age 72, a devoted brother, uncle, and true friend who passed away peacefully where he resided at the Northside General Hospital on Monday, October 26, 2020.

Terrence was born in Scotch Lake, the son of the late Angus and Marie (MacMullin) MacDonald. Terrence always wanted to keep busy. He began work at Thompson and Sutherland and Raheys supermarket in North Sydney and went on to work delivering mail and later as caretaker at Bras d’Or school. Terrence had a sharp mind and a deep awareness of the world around him. He was a good listener and enjoyed a good discussion always leaving you with something to think about. He had a love for music, most notably the works of Johnny Cash and Gordon Lightfoot, and was not shy when called upon to provide some entertainment.

Terrence is survived by two sisters Louise, Scotch Lake, and Sheila (Bernie) MacEachern, Dartmouth, four brothers Bernie (Margie) MacDonald, Howie Center, James (Debbie) MacDonald, Howie Center, Michael (Corinne) MacDonald, Coxheath, and Neil MacDonald, Scotch Lake, nieces Michele, Stephanie, Jillian, and Kathleen, and nephews Michael, Jason, Matthew, and Christian.

The family would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the dedicated and loving third floor staff at Northside general Hospital who treated Terrence so well over the past number of years.
