Dear Theresa, Miriam and Children and the MacDonald and Dunn Families,
Our family is so sorry to hear of David's passing. We have so many wonderful memories of growing up with your families, especially the MacDonald family in North Sydney as we were neighbours. David was such a nice man and a great father who will be missed by many. Our mother, Jeannie wanted to send Theresa special prayers at this difficult time of losing her oldest child. We are thinking of you all at this time and sending prayers.

Our hearts are breaking this morning at the news of Dave's passing. He was a dear friend who we had lost touch with over the years but was never far from our thoughts, often resulting in a laugh at something outrageous we had done. So many stories of our carefree adventures in North Sydney, Antigonish and Truro came flooding back this morning, gone but not forgotten. We met briefly a few years back and it was so nice to hear him talk of his family and happiness, we are so glad we had that short moment in time. Thank you for the beautiful, heartfelt obituary that gave us insight into his life these past years. May God bless Dave and your families as you celebrate his life in the days to come and forever, we will not forget. Jim and Marilyn

David was a very good friend of my sister during school years. Seems like I've known him forever. I used to see him at Sobey's Sydney River and he always stopped for a good chat. I went to school with his sister Jacinta and taught his brother Michael. My deepest condolences to all his family. Losing a family member is always difficult.
